Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
David faces Goliath at Anfield as Liverpool and Shrewsbury Town take on each other in the FA Cup last 64. The Reds played out a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in their last league match, but they will have to do it without star players Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who represent Senegal and Egypt respectively at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. Naby Keita is on international duty as well, but Andy Robertson is back from suspension.
Diogo Jota is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts, who are eyeing their 8th FA Cup trophy. The Shrews, on the other hand, did well to beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 in their last League One fixture, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Sunday’s football match. As previously mentioned, David faces Goliath at Anfield, and despite the number of absentees in the home team, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise.
