Buoyed by the Dutch Cup win over Heerenveen, Vitesse will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Utrecht in their first league game of 2024. The Vitas are not enjoying a season to remember, with the team sitting in the rock-bottom position with only 11 points on their account. As Vitesse experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-0 loss to Almere City, home win should not be considered.
All Davy Propper, Goncalves Pinto, Miliano Jonathans, and Fode Fofana should miss out with injuries. Utrecht, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement of late and seeing that they are eager to rejoin the playoffs race, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Arnhem.

Nicknamed Vitas, the proud of Gelderland, Vitesse are a Dutch football club based in Arnhem. Vitesse compete in the Dutch Eredivisie and they have yet to win the national championship. However, they finished as runners-up in the Dutch elite division on five occasions (1897–98, 1902–03, 1912–13, 1913–14, 1914–15), while clinching third place in the standings in the 1997/1998 season.
