Following an embarrassing 3-2 loss to amateurs USC Hercules in the Dutch Cup, Ajax will look to get back on course when they face Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie round 17. The Amsterdammers defeated Hannover 2-1 in their last warm-up game and they are seen as favourites to pick up all three points from Sunday’s encounter as well. New boss John van’t Schip can count on key players for the Go Ahead Eagles showdown.
The hosts, meanwhile, rolled over lower-league side De Treffers 7-1 in the KNVB Beker, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Ajax. Anyhow, both teams to score betting option should be considered as the capital club have been struggling at the back in the first half of the season. As for the home side, both Bobby Adekanye and Finn Stokkers are major doubts and the duo will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

Born in Apeldoorn, Netherlands on December 19, 1991, Steven Berghuis is a Dutch winger who plays for Ajax in the Eredivisie. Berghuis played for the likes of Vitesse/AGOVV, WSV Apeldoorn, and Go Ahead Eagles during his youth career before joining Twente in 2009.
The 183-cm-tall footballer continued playing for the Reds at senior level. After ending his loan spell with VVV-Venlo, Steven Berghuis joined AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2012, and three years later signed a deal with the Premier League club Watford. After making no more than nine appearances in the English top flight, Berghuis moved to Feyenoord in August 2016, and he has been playing De club aan de Maas ever since.
His main position is right winger, but he is capable of producing fine displays as both left winger and attacking midfielder as well. He made his Netherlands debut on May 27, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland.
