Colorado Rapids
Buoyed by a 3-0 win over Houston Dynamo in a friendly, Dallas will be looking to kick off their MLS campaign in great manner when they face Colorado Rapids at Toyota Stadium. The club chiefs did well to reinforce the squad, but the Toros will have to prove their worth on the field. Experienced attacker Franco Jara, who scored seven goals last term, will be one of the men to watch in the home side.
Colorado, on the other hand, head into the match following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Phoenix in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup. The Rapids face a difficult task in the opening match of their 2021 MLS campaign, and given Dallas’ attacking potential, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. New signing Michael Barrios is widely expected to make his Colorado Rapids debut against Dallas.

Matthew Hedges is a 193-cm tall centre back who was born in Rochester, New York on April 1, 1990. At the age of 18 he started his college career at Butler Bulldogs and in 2011 he moved to North Carolina Tar Heels. After scoring 18 goals in total in college football, Matt played for Reading United before joining MLS club FC Dallas.
The American footballer has been playing for FC Dallas since 2012 and in 2016 he won both US Open Cup and Supporters’ Shield with the Toros. Matthew Hedges made his debut for USA national soccer team on February 8, 2015, coming as a substittute in the 72nd minute in a friendly against Panama.
2017 was the most successful year of his career as he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Yenks. USA defeated Jamaica 2-1 in the title game, but Matt Hedges was not given an opportunity to play in the final. His preferred foot is right.

Colorado Rapids is a Major League Soccer club and they compete in the USA professional soccer league as a member of the Western Conference. Colorado began their play in MLS back in 1996 and 14 years later they managed to win the MLS Cup trophy. The Rapids recorded a 2-1 win over FC Dallas in the final of the tournament, with George John scoring the winner for Gary Smith’s team in the extra time. Colorado made it to the MLS Cup final in 1997 as well, but D.C. United proved to be a big catch for the club in the title game.
The Rapids play their home games at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and the venue has been Colorado’s home ground since 2007. It has to be noted that the likes of Tim Howard, Carlos Valderama, Claudio Lopez and Jermaine Jones were all part of the club in the past. Colorado’s colors are red, sky blue and white, but they were yellow shirts and blue shorts when playing on the travels.
