All eyes will be on Stadion Tivoli NEU when Hertha and Liverpool take on each other in a pre-season friendly. The Reds aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mainz where Jurgen Klopp used different line-ups for each half. The good news for the fans is that key defender Virgil van Dijk is set to make his return from injury on Thursday. Fellow defender Joe Gomez, though, is unlikely to feature in the midweek friendly.
Hertha, on the other hand, aim to remain undefeated in pre-season, but they will have a big fish to fry in Thursday’s clash. Considering that the Bundesliga have been impressive in front of goal in warm-up games, we believe that there is a big value in betting on over 2.5 goals. New signing Steven Jovetic is unlikely to feature for the German outfit, while Cunha, Tousart, and Torunarigha are all representing their countries at the Olympic Games.

A product of Freiburg academy, Alexander Schwolow was forced to work for his place under the spotlight and it wasn’t until his loan spell in the Third Division with Armenia Bielefeld in 2014 that Schwolow earned his place between the sticks at his parent club. His stock went through a rapid rise in 2016/17 campaign when Alexander Schwolow played a great part in his team’s seventh-place finish and a place in the UEFA Europa league qualification.
Schwolow’s impressive goalkeeping exploits got his name written in the notebook of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and it is fair to say we could see his move abroad in foreseeable future. Alexander Schwolow represented Germany in U18, U19 and U20 categories but has yet to earn a senior cap.
