Norway and Luxembourg take on each other at Estadio La Rosaleda in a friendly international. Since Norway missed out on a place at EURO 2021, they will use June friendlies to prepare in the best way possible for the World Cup qualifiers. As always, a man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Haland, who won the Bundesliga Player of the Year award for the 2020/21 season.
Luxembourg, on the other hand, have been producing fine displays in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, with the team beating Republic of Ireland on the road. Luc Holtz’ troops aim to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to Portugal, but they will have a big fish to fry in Wednesday’s friendly as Norway are eager to get back on course. You should bear in mind that Norway defeated Luxembourg in each of their previous six meetings in all competitions.

Markus Henriksen is a Norwegian footballer who was born in Trondheim on 25 July, 1992. As expected, he played for his hometown club Rosenborg during his youth career and he made no less than 78 league appearances for the Troillongan at senior level. He scored 11 league goals for the club from 2009 to 2012 and he won two domestic trophies with the Norwegian outfit (2009, 2010).
On 31 August, 2012 he signed a five-year deal with AZ Alkmaar for a fee of €2 million. Henriksen made his AZ debut on 16 September, 2012 in a 4-0 win over Roda and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular. The attacking midfielder has nine caps for Norway U21 team and he made his debut for the first team in a 2-1 loss to Croatia on 12 October, 2010.
On 31 August, 2016 he signed a loan deal with Hull City, which should be made permanent in 2017. You should have in mind that Henriksen is capable of playing as both central midfielder and a defensive midfielder as well.

Jeff Strasser is both the most famous and the most capped Luxembourg player and it has to be noted that the former Bundesliga player made 98 appearances for the national team. Luxembourg recorded their biggest win against Afghanistan (6-0), in the match that was played in London in 1948. Speaking of their biggest defeat, Luxembourg were outclassed by England 9-0 on two occasions (1960, 1982).
