Finland and Estonia face each other in a friendly at Olympiastadion in Helsinki. Finland aim to prepare for the upcoming European Championship finals in the best way possible, and we are positive that they will take Friday’s friendly very seriously. Even though Markku Kanerva’s troops failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to Switzerland and Sweden, but they are surely capable of beating Estonia at home ground.
As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Norwich City attacker Teemu Pukki, who impressed in the 2020/21 Championship season. The Estonians, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lithuania in the Baltic Cup. Estonia boss continue to rely on experienced players Anier and Zenjov, but seeing that Finland want this win more than Thomas Haberli’s troops, home win should be considered.

Despite playing for Ajax during his youth career, Niklas Moisander began started playing for Finnish side TPS at senior level. However, after making 17 league appearances for the club in the 2002/2003 season, he returned to Ajax on 5 June, 2003. Moisander played for Jong Ajax in Beloften Eredivisie and in 2006 he joined Zwolle.
The Finnish defender signed for fellow Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar in 2008 and he spent four years at the club. In 2012 he returned to Ajax and he started playing for the Amsterdam Arena outfit on regular basis. After making 77 league appearances for Ajax between 2012 and 2015, he joined Sampdoria on March 2015 on a free transfer.
Moisander signed a three-year deal with the club and he played 22 league games for La Samp in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign. At the end of the season he moved to Werder Bremen. The former Ajax footballer was born on 29 September, 1985 in Turku, Finland.

Former Soviet republic Estonia declared its independence on August 20, 1991 and they have been participating in FIFA and UEFA competitions ever since. The Estonians have yet to make it to the finals of a major tournament, but they often made life difficult for European giants in the qualifiers.
In 2010 Estonia did well to beat Serbia in Belgrade in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, but they eventually failed to qualify for the showpiece tournament. “The Blueshirts” welcome their rivals at Le Coq Arena in Tallinn and the capacity of the stadium is 10.500. Sergei Zenjov, who played for the likes of Blackpool, Karpaty and Torpedo Moscow in the past is one of the most famous Estonian footballers.
