Venlo
A place in the KNVB Beker final will be at stake when Vitesse and VVV-Venlo go head to head at GelreDome. Vitesse set up a meeting with Venlo by beating Excelsior on the road, and they are now on a quest to move one step closer to winning their third Dutch Cup trophy. Since Vitesse rolled over Venlo 4-1 in the Eredivisie at the weekend, it is no wonder the hosts are seen as hot favourites to win Tuesday’s clash. Thomas Letsch should have a full squad to choose from.
The visitors, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back of late, with the team conceding eight goals in total in the previous two league fixtures. Since the Venlose Trots are not regarded as good travellers, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Vitesse’s party at GelreDome. All Dekker, Donis, and Guwara are likely to miss the game with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Riechedly Bazoer):
Despite playing for PSV during his youth career, Riechedly Bazoer made his Eredivisie debut with Ajax. The central midfielder who was born on 12 October, 1996 in Utrecht, scored his first goal for Ajax on 15 February, 2015 in a 4-2 victory over Twente.
Four days later he made his European debut with the Amsterdammers, taking part in a 1-0 win over Legia in the Europa League. Bazoer scored five goals in 29 league appearances for Ajax in the 2015/2016 season, but he failed to win the domestic trophy with Frank de Boer’s troops.
Speaking of his international career, Bazoer has two caps for Netherlands U21 team and he made his debut for the first team on 13 November, 2015 against Wales. It has to be noted that he came as a late substitute in the 3-2 victory over the Dragons. Back in 2012 the right-footed midfielder won the UEFA U17 European Championship with the Dutch national team.

Based on the Dutch-German border, VVV-Venlo is a Dutch football club that plays in the Eredivisie. The club was founded on February 7, 1903 under the name of Venlose Voetbal Vereniging, and it’s considered one of the oldest clubs in Dutch football.
VVV Venlo are well known for their yellow shirts and black shorts, and, as a result, they are often called the Yellow Black Army. Venlo play home games at De Koel, the stadium which is able to hold up to 8,000 spectators.
Japan international Keisuke Honda is one of the most notable international footballers who played for the club. However, Honda is not the only Japanese player to wear the yellow jersey as the likes of Maya Yoshida, Robert Cullen, and Yuki Otsu played for the club as well. Roda JC are seen as one of the club’s main rivals, with the two clubs facing each other in the Limburgse derby.
