Vancouver Whitecaps
Los Angeles FC will look to move one step closer to booking their spot in the MLS Cup quarter-finals when they take on Vancouver Whitecaps at BMO Stadium in the first leg. The Black and Gold are on a quest to defend their trophy, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. As always, experienced forward Carlos Vela will lead the line for the hosts, while Steve Cherundolo has no fresh injury worries.
The Canadian outfit, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back draws with Seattle Sounders and their Sunday’s rivals Los Angeles FC. Vancouver did well to hold Carlos Vela and Co. to the draw in front of home fans, but given their difficulties on the travels, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side. Both Andres Cubas and Thomas Hasal are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.

Over the years Carlos Vela has established himself as one of best Mexican players. Vela was born in Cancun, Mexico, on March 1, 1989 and he played for Guadalajara before joining Arsenal youth school in 2005. The pacey left-footed winger played only 29 games for the Gunners in the Premier League before signing a deal with Real Sociedad.
Carlos Vela played for the likes of Celta Vigo, Salamanca, Osasuna and WBA on loan as well before joining the Basque outfit. Nowadays, the Mexican forward is a Los Angeles FC player and it has to be noted that he scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the club in the 2018 MLS Season. He is naturally gifted player, quick, intelligent and with very good technique.
Carlos Vela did well to win two CONCACAF Gold Cups with Mexico national football team (2009, 2015) and he was named Real Sociedad player of the year in the 2011/2012 and the 2013/2014 seasons. His main position is right winger, but he is used as a second striker and a centre-forward as well.

Vancouver Whitecaps are yet another Canadian side that compete in Major League Soccer. Vancouver began play in the USA top flight in 2011 and one year later they became the first Canadian outfit to book their place in the MLS Cup play-offs. However, star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy proved to be a big catch for the Whitecaps in the knockout round. Vancouver, though, did remarkably well to win the Canadian Championship in 2015, with the team beating Montreal Impact in the title game.
In 2016 they made it to the final of the tournament as well, but Toronto FC eventually won the trophy. The Whitecaps are owned by Greg Kerfoot, Steve Luczo, Jeff Mallett and Steve Steve Nash, the former NBA star, and they play their home matches at BC Place. Speaking of MLS games, the capacity of the venue is 22.120 and you should know that the stadium was opened back in 1983. The Caps wear white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
