Our prediction for this MLS match:
Los Angeles Galaxy will be aiming to make amends for the unsuccessful MLS campaign when they take on Dallas on Sunday morning. LA Galaxy missed out on a spot in the MLS Cup playoffs and, no doubt, they are low on confidence ahead of the visit of Dallas. As all Delgado, Puig, Calegari, Neal, Brugman, Caceres, and Javier Hernandez Chicharito are sidelined with injuries, home win should not be considered.
The Toros, on the other hand, are eager to secure their spot in top nine and seeing that all San Jose Earthquakes, Sporting Kansas City, and Minnesota United are breathing down their neck, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting team. All Sebastian Lletget, Geovane Jesus, and Tarik Scott miss out with injuries for the away side, while Facundo Quignon faces race against the clock to be fit for the match.
Highlighted Player (Martin Caceres):
Martin Caceres is a widely travelled and well known Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Juventus. Primarily a central defender, Caceres is known for his tenacity, pace, strength, tackling and aerial ability. He is versatile and can operate as full-back on either sides too. Caceres started his career at Defensor Sporting and became a regular at a very young age.
In 2007, he went to Spanish side Villarreal but never officially appeared for them. He then was snapped up by Barcelona in 2008 for a reported transfer fee of € 16.5 million. But his only season at the Camp Nou was marred with injuries and moved to Juventus in 2012 via a short stop at Sevilla.
Caceres made his full senior team debut in 2007 and was a successful member of the team that won the 2011 Copa America. He also played at the 2014 World Cup and has 68 national caps to his credit.
Highlighted Team (FC Dallas):
Despite making it to the 2010 MLS Cup final, Dallas eventually failed to win the domestic trophy. The Toros (Bulls) were beaten by Colorado in the final played at BMO Field in Toronto and you should bear in mind that the Rapids scored the winner in the extra time.
That was the first and only time Dallas participated in the MLS Cup final, but in 2016 the club won the Supporters’ Shield and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Toros play their home games at Toyota Stadium, the venue that was opened in August, 2005. The stadium’s original name was Pizza Hut Park, but in September 2013 it was renamed as Toyota Stadium after Pizza Hut Park left as a main sponsor.
FC Dallas wear red shits with white stripes when playing at home, while their secondary colors are white and blue. Former Ajax and River Plate ace Mauro Rosales, who joined the Toyota Stadium outfit in 2016, is regarded as one of the club most significant stars.
