Our prediction for this MLS match:
Toronto will be aiming to put an end to their six-game losing run in the Major League Soccer when they take on Orlando City in the last game of the regular season. Toronto are having a season to remember, with the team collecting only 22 points in the process. The rock-bottom side have little to play for in Saturday’s clash, which is probably the main reason why home win should not be considered. All Kerr, Blessing, Servania, Insigne, Johnson, Ranjitsingh, and Diomande are out of contention with injuries for the home side.
The Lions, on the other hand, are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win. Orlando City have already booked their place in the playoffs, but given Toronto’s shaky defence, we predict that the visitors are going to finish the regular part of the season in style. Both Adam Grinwis and Favian Loyola are sidelined with injuries, speaking of the away team.
Highlighted Player (Lorenzo Insigne):
Born in Frattamaggiore, Naples on June 4, 1991, Lorenzo Insigne is an Italian footballer who plays for his hometown club Napoli in the Serie A. Insigne is a product of Olimpia Sant’Arpino football school, but he joined the Partenopei at the age of 15.
The diminutive attacker scored his first ever goal in the Italian top flight on September 16, 2012 in a 3-1 win over Parma. Insigne, who played for the likes of Cavese, Foggia and Pescara on loan before returning to Naples, made his debut with the Italian national team on September 11, 2012 in the World Cup qualifier against Malta.
The Napoli forward scored his first ever goal for the Azzurri in a friendly against Argentina on August 14, 2013. His main position is left winger, but he is used as a second striker as well. Lorenzo Insigne has a contract with Napoli until June 30, 2022.
Highlighted Team (Orlando City):
Orlando City are a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. The Lions have been participating in the major league since 2015 and they host their rivals at Orlando City Stadium. The venue was opened in February, 2017 and the construction of the stadium cost $155 million. Orlando City finished the 2015 MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and they failed to make it to the play-offs in the 2016 season as well (8th place).
Brazilian ace Kaka is undisputedly the club’s most famous player and the former Real Madrid and Milan man became the highest-paid player in MLS history. His base salary was $6.6 million per year and it has to be noted that the Brazilian superstar found the net on his Orlando City debut against FC Dallas (friendly). Orlando City’s home kit is violet, while they wear white and violet shirts and white socks on the travels. The club’s official mascot is Kingston the Lion.
