Vancouver Whitecaps
Sunday’s football game between Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps will bring down the curtain on this round in the Major League Soccer. Seattle aim to build on a 2-1 win over Los Angeles Galaxy and a triumph over Vancouver will see them retain second place in the Western Conference. There are no fresh injury concerns in the home team, but both Sota Kitahara and Cody Baker remain in the treatment room.
The Whitecaps, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-0 win over St Louis City. Vancouver, though, have been struggling on the travels of late, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Seattle Sounders this time out. Goalkeeper Thomas Hasal has yet to recover from a knee injury, but he should be the only absentee in the home team. In their last meeting in MLS Seattle defeated Vancouver 3-2.

Nicolas Lodeiro is an experienced midfielder, who played for Barrio Obrero and Nacional during his youth career. In 2007 he tasted senior-team football for the first time ever and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 43 appearances in the league for Nacional.
In January 2010 the Uruguayan footballer joined Ajax, but he played no more than 21 games in the Eredivisie during his spell with the Amsterdammers. In 2012 he returns to South America, signing a four-year deal with Botafogo. During his spell with O Glorioso, Nicolas Lodeiro represented Uruguay at 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The left-footed footballer was part of Corinthians and Boca Juniors before joining Seattle Sounders in 2016. Speaking of his international career, Lodeiro made his Uruguay debut against Costa Rica in the 2010 World Cup play-offs. The MLS star, who wears the No. 10 shirt, was born in Paysandu, Uruguay on March 21, 1989. In 2016 he won MLS Cup with Seattle Sounders.

Vancouver Whitecaps are yet another Canadian side that compete in Major League Soccer. Vancouver began play in the USA top flight in 2011 and one year later they became the first Canadian outfit to book their place in the MLS Cup play-offs. However, star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy proved to be a big catch for the Whitecaps in the knockout round. Vancouver, though, did remarkably well to win the Canadian Championship in 2015, with the team beating Montreal Impact in the title game.
In 2016 they made it to the final of the tournament as well, but Toronto FC eventually won the trophy. The Whitecaps are owned by Greg Kerfoot, Steve Luczo, Jeff Mallett and Steve Steve Nash, the former NBA star, and they play their home matches at BC Place. Speaking of MLS games, the capacity of the venue is 22.120 and you should know that the stadium was opened back in 1983. The Caps wear white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
