Honduras
Belarus and Honduras take on each other at Stadyen Tarpeda in a friendly international. Belarus were having their ups and downs in November, 2020, with the team beating Lithuania, while losing to Albania in the UEFA Nations League. The former Soviet republic aim to return to winning ways, and they are surely capable of beating Honduras in Zhodino. Keep in mind, though, that the new Belarus Premier League campaign has recently started.
Los Catrachos, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Guatemala. Honduras, though, are not regarded as good travellers, with the team recording only one win in the previous eleven away games. Since Fabian Coito is likely to use Wednesday’s friendly to test as many players as possible, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. When the two teams met in a friendly back in 2020 they played out a 2-2 draw.

Egor Filipenko is a Maccabi Tel Aviv defender who was born in Minsk, Belarus on 10 April, 1988. He began his senior career at BATE Borisov, but his main goal was to join Russian Premier League. His wish came true in 2008 as he signed a contract with Russian giants Spartak Moscow.
After playing 16 league games for the capital club, he returned to BATE Borisov in 2011 on loan and he eventually signed a permanent deal with the Belarusian outfit. On 5 January, 2015 Filipenko joined la Liga side Malaga on a two-and-a-half-year deal, but he made no more than eight league appearances with los Boquerones. In the summer of 2016 the Belarusian footballer moved to Israel, signing a contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Speaking of his international career, Egor Filipenko made his Belarus debut on 12 September, 2007, coming as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Slovenia in the Euro 2008 qualifier. His contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Honduras):
Honduras are a national football team from Central America that qualified for the World Cup finals for the first time in 1982. Los Catrachos did well to share the spoils with hosts Spain at the showpiece tournament, but they eventually failed to book their place in the knockout stages.
Honduras participated at the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals as well, but they failed to impress at the tournaments in South Africa and Brazil. Winning of the 1981 CONCACAF Championship is undisputedly the team’s biggest success and it has to be noted that they finished the final round in top position in the standings, two points clear of El Salvador and three above Mexico.
Los Catrachos were beaten by Canada in the 1985 Gold Cup final, with the team finishing the 1991 tournament as runners-up as well. Wilson Palacios, who used to play for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City as regarded as one of the most notable footballers who represented Honduras national team on the international stage.
