Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Blundell Park will host the FA Cup replay between Grimsby Town and Luton Town, the two teams who played out a 2-2 draw in the original fixture at Kenilworth Road. The Black and Whites are high on spirits following a 3-0 win over Crewe, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against the Hatters. Forward John McAtee is ineligible to face his parent club, and seeing that both Lloyd and O’Neill are cup-tied, home win should not be considered.
Meanwhile, the visitors recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Stoke at the weekend, with the team retaining their spot in top six in the Championship table. Luton are on a three-game winning run in the league, and seeing that the hosts head into Tuesday’s clash with a severely-weakened squad, away win should be considered. All Sonny Bradley, Henri Lansbury, and Luke Freeman are sidelined with injuries, while Cody Drameh, Joe Taylor, and Jack Walton are all cup-tied.
