In-form Almere City will look to extend their winning run in all competitions to four games when they take on Fortuna Sittard at Yanmar Stadion. Almere restarted the season with a hard-fouught 1-0 win over Volendam, but Wednesday’s Dutch Cup game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side. Barring any fresh injury worries, Alex Pastoor is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Volendam at the weekend.
Sittard, meanwhile, aim to recover from a 2-0 loss to Sparta Rotterdam. As Danny Buijs’ men were more than unfortunate not to find the net in their last league match, we are going to place our bets on both teams to score this time out.
