Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
After suffering a loss to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, Almeria will be looking to regain their spot in top two in the La Liga 2 standings when they face Fuenlabrada on Saturday. Los Rojiblancos will be fully focused on Segunda Division in the remainder of the season, and we are positive that they will go for a win in the Estadio Fernando Torres showdown. Umar Sadiq, who was rested in the Spanish Cup clash in midweek, is pushing for a start.
Fuenla, on the other hand, are eyeing their first win of the year. Considering that Fuenlabrada have been struggling at home ground this season, we do not believe that they are capable of matching the promotion-chasing visitors. In the first half of the season Almeria rolled over Fuenlabrada 3-0, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Adrian Dieguez):
Born in Madrid on February 4, 1996, Adrian Dieguez is a Spanish defender who play for Fuenlabrada in Segunda Division. Dieguez played for the likes of Getafe and Carabanchel during his youth career, while starting his senior career at Alcorcon B.
After making five appearances for the Alcorcon senior team, the Spanish footballer moved to Alaves. Adrian Dieguez played for Huesca on loan as well before signing a four-year contract with Fuenlabrada. During his spell with Alcorcon Dieguez played for Fuenla on loan, meaning that he returned to the club three years later. His main position is centre-back, but he is used as a left-back as well.
The towering defender has a contract with Fuenlabrada until September 15, 2020, and his preferred foot is left. Adrian Dieguez made his Fuenlabrada debut in a 3-3 draw with Las Palmas on September 20, 2020, and he scored his first goal for Fuenla in a 1-0 victory over Girona on October 4, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Almeria):
UD Almeria is a Spanish club based in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Los Rojiblancos are one of the newer additions to the Spanish football system, with the club being founded on July 26, 1989.
Almeria suffered relegation to Segunda Division in the 2014/15 season, and they have been competing in the Spanish second tier ever since. Los Rojiblancos are well known for their white shirts with red stripes, while blue is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Sofiane Feghouli, Felipe Melo, Diego Alves, Veljko Paunovic, Aleix Vidal, Alvaro Negredo, Tomer Hemed, and Mate Bilic are some notable footballers who played for Almeria in the past. Fellow Andalusian clubs Sevilla, Malaga, and Granada are considered the club’s fiercest rivals.
The club’s biggest success in Copa del Rey came in the 2010/11 season when they made it to the semis of the prestigious competition. Nonetheless, Catalan giants Barcelona proved to be a big catch for Almeria in the Spanish Cup semi-finals.
