Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
Paderborn will be aiming to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Wurzburger Kickers when they welcome Holstein Kiel at their Benteler Arena on Matchday 18. Paderborn are eyeing their third consecutive home win of the season, but the game against Holstein Kiel will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. Steffen Baumgart’s charges aim to regain their spot in the top half of the table, while Kiel aim to cement their place in top three.
The promotion-chasing visitors did well to beat Darmstadt 2-0 on the road in their last league fixture, with the team putting an end to their three-game winless run. Holstein Kiel regained a much-needed confidence at the weekend, but given Paderborn’s fine home record in January, we are tempted to put our money on draw. In their last meeting at Benteler Arena the two teams played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.
